MACS strengthens Africa Network with Luanda Service Extension

MACS starts a new service to Luanda
Dear Valued Customer,
On behalf of MACS Maritime Carrier Shipping GmbH & Co, we are pleased to announce the extension of our MPP Liner Service to include the port of Luanda.
Luanda will be served on every southbound voyage, offering regular and direct sailings on a fortnightly basis. As the first port of call after completion of loading in Europe,
this service provides the fastest transit times in the market:
- Hamburg: 23/24 days
- Antwerp: 18/19 days
- Leixões: 13/14 days
Export cargo from Luanda to Europe will be transshipped via Walvis Bay to connect with the MACS northbound service.
In addition, coastal cargo can be shipped from Luanda to ports in Namibia, South Africa, and Mozambique with fast and reliable transit times.
MACS vessels will call at Sogester Terminal in Luanda. Besides utilizing MACS-owned containers (dry van, open top, flat rack, reefer), we also handle breakbulk cargo including vehicles, project cargo, and steel products.
The vessels deployed in this service offer a maximum lifting capacity of 240 mts and a hatch opening of 36 m. MACS is represented locally in Luanda by Supermaritime.
The first sailing from Europe will be performed by MV Blue Master II v.261208 with the following schedule:
- Hamburg – 26 March
- Antwerp – 2 April
- Leixões – 7 April
- ETA Luanda – 20 April
